Deep mountain crayfish is a high mountain form of crayfish, native to Korea and Russia. Its leaves and flowers are smaller than those of Pu Ran. The leaves of the crayfish are circular, with a slightly thin tip and shallow triangular serrations on the edges. The fruit is larger than the crabapple, with a spherical shape and beautiful autumn leaves. In addition, the fruit of the crayfish is upward, and in deep mountain crayfish, the tips of the leaves become narrow and sharp, with shallow triangular serrated edges. It is a cold resistant evergreen shrub native to Japan, the Korean Peninsula, and China. The oval shaped fruit ripens into a deep purple color from October to November, coinciding with the flowering period. The fruit ripens from October to November, overlapping with flowering.
